National Drug Council Cayman Islands (NDC)

Co-ordinating anti-drug measures in the Cayman Islands.

The National Drug Council is an independent statutory body set up under the National Drug Council Law (2003 revision) to co-ordinate anti-drug measures in the Cayman Islands. They are dedicated to the eradication of substance abuse through implementation of a comprehensive approach.

They also host many programmes to educate the public and parents of anti-drug measures that should be taken if their child is having issues.

Programmes and Campaigns:

  • Youth 2 Youth
  • School and community based drug prevention
  • National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week
  • Designated Driver & Purple Ribbon Bus
  • International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking
  • Formulate and develop drug prevention and rehabilitation policies and programmes
  • Educate on the dangers of drug use
  • Research and maintain a database of information on drug abuse
