A Family-Friendly Christmas in Cayman 2019

As Christmas approaches and our social calendars fill up, navigating the Island’s festive party scene can be particularly hard work when you have children in tow! Keep everybody happy and in good cheer this year with Cayman Parent’s family-friendly Christmas calendar.

Annual Christmas Tree Lighting

This is one of Cayman’s biggest and best events! Camana Bay is transformed into a sparkling wonderland with a majestic Christmas tree, inspiring musical performances by The Cayman National Choir, a Christmas craft market and a special visit from Santa Claus. Join in the countdown to the switching on of the lights of Camana Bay’s 40ft Christmas tree! This event does get quite busy and we recommend booking a table at one of the nearby restaurants (Brooklyn Pizza + Pasta, Mizu or The Waterfront) or bars (Karoo or The King’s Head) for a great vantage point. A charming event suitable for the young and old. 16th November 2019.

The Singing Christmas Tree

The Singing Christmas Tree is a spectacular event which highlights the story of Jesus’ birth depicted through a 25 foot Christmas tree encased with over 5,000 lights and 60 local and international performers. The 90 minute show is accompanied by a superb orchestra. 23rd and 24th November 2019.

Cayman 27’s Parade of Lights

Cayman 27’s Parade of Lights is a wonderful Cayman tradition in Camana Bay. Thousands watch as beautifully lit up boats of every shape and size sail into the harbour in Camana Bay all competing for the prize of the most magical boat. Wander around the Christmas market, enjoy live music and carols and watch the fantastic firework display that wraps up the night! 30th November 2019.

Jungle Bell Run

Burn off those Christmas calories, along with hundreds of other runners, at this annual 5k and 10k Jingle Bell run. A delicious breakfast is served after the run and spot prizes awarded. Proceeds are donated to the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre. CI$25. 1st December 2019.
