The Mourant Cayman Islands Summer Student Internship Programme offers students the opportunity to gain practical experience in law, governance, and professional services within a leading international firm.

Internship Areas Include:

Interns will work alongside financial services professionals, supporting research, analysis, and projects while developing essential business skills. The programme emphasizes learning, collaboration, community involvement, and professional growth, providing valuable exposure to the finance industry and the chance to build meaningful connections in a dynamic, supportive environment.

The HSA Summer Student Internship Programme offers a unique internship opportunity to current college/university level and high school students who express keen interest in pursuing a career within the Healthcare field. The programme aims to give students practical experience and develop their skills for future career opportunities.

Internships typically take place from June through September. Individual internship placement periods may vary (estimated 4 – 8 weeks placement opportunities).

You will be required to complete a personal statement (100 words or more) to express why you are interested in an internship opportunity. Students must have a genuine career interest in the Healthcare field.

Ogier is seeking Caymanian students for a four-week summer internship, ideal for those pursuing a career in law or corporate/financial services. Applicants should have strong academic results and be studying (or intending to study) an LLB, LPC/SQE/PPC, or a degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (minimum 2:1 if already graduated).

Successful candidates will be interviewed and, if selected, will gain hands-on experience in a chosen practice area, receive mentoring, and participate in professional development throughout the internship. Placements are available in legal areas (Banking & Finance, Corporate, Dispute Resolution, Investment Funds) or financial services (Corporate Services, Compliance, Finance, HR, Operations).

Internships run between June and August. A complete application, including academic records, references, and proof of Caymanian status, is required.

In honour of the late Jack Copper, Enterprise Cayman is proud to announce the Jack Copper Technology Internship, a prestigious 2-3 month summer placement hosted by the Cayman Enterprise City (CEC) Information Technology Department. This internship runs in conjunction with our Summer Internship Programme and has been established as a tribute to Jack Copper’s extraordinary contributions to the CEC community and the Cayman Islands’ tech and innovation sectors.

To apply, candidates must complete the Summer Internship Programme application and indicate their interest in the Jack Copper Technology Internship by selecting the appropriate option on Question 13. This step is mandatory to be considered for this specialised placement.

Offered annually, the summer internship placement will serve as a tribute to Jack’s legacy, helping to nurture the next generation of tech professionals in the Cayman Islands.

The Enterprise Cayman Internship Programme is open to Caymanians between the ages of 18-25 years and lasts for one to three months. Summer internship placements offer hands-on experience and access to knowledge-based career paths. Industry leaders provide participants with the tools and confidence they need to achieve both professionals goals and secure influential connections within chosen industry sectors. Many internship placements have successfully led to full-time job placements with special economic zone companies.

CCMI is seeking two interns to support CCMI’s Reefs Go Live (RGL) programme, which has transformed how we teach children about the ocean. Reefs Go Live uses the Virtual Live Experiences (VLEs) method in connecting students and the public to real-time coral reef activity. Scientists use high-tech face masks and streaming equipment to deliver lessons live from underwater.

They are looking for two exceptional communicators with experience in delivering education programmes, who are passionate about the marine environment. Positions include Communication/Education Intern and Production/Communication Intern.

Skills and Requirements:

• Underwater videography and photography experience
• Content development experience
• Bachelor’s degree in communication, marine science, environmental science, education or a related field

• Scuba dive certification

The Wellness Centre is committed to providing young Caymanians with a valuable student internship experience. Each internship will be developed in collaboration with students to ensure the unique experiences match both educational and career interests.

Reporting directly to the Clinical Manager the Intern may assist and support the Clinical Team in any of the following ways

1. Clinical Administration Tasks
   1. Sort, scan and shred clinical documents
   2. Assist the receptionist or administrative team with general duties, including front desk coverage
   3. Interact with our Electronic Health Record System (DrC) to support with client scheduling, and maintenance of current client lists for members of the clinical and developmental support services team
2. Mental Health Promotional Tasks
   1. Design and develop psychoeducational presentations using Canva on a range of topics relevant to the services and programmes of the company.
   2. Design and develop social media campaigns, including vision, posts, reels, scripts. Topics and schedule to be determined by the Director.
   3. Plan, support and assist with mental health promotional opportunities in the community, including but not limited to Career Fairs, Health Fairs and Employee Wellness Fairs
3. Psychological Support Services
   1. Engage in learning opportunities related to the utilisation of mental health modalities and psychological assessment measures
   2. Observe the administration and scoring of psychological measures
   3. Participate in psychological assessment meetings and case discussions
   4. Support ongoing inventory management for psychometric testing
4. Clinical Counselling Support Services
   1. Support clinical intake administration
   2. Engage in clinical team meetings
   3. Observe clinical intake interviews
   4. Observe clinical groups
5. Research and Literature Review
   1. Support research projects, including literature review, research design, development of data collection measures, and analysis.

Their 4-8 week programme is overseen by knowledgeable professionals who are committed to ensuring each intern receives valuable hands-on experience. They also offer bespoke internships throughout the year to students on a gap year or who are on extended study leave. Campbells offers placements in the areas of law, marketing, finance, compliance, information technology and corporate administration; however, these internships are subject to availability.

Harneys offers internships to exceptional individuals who wish to gain first-hand experience of practice in a leading global offshore firm. Placements are offered in their Legal, Fiduciary, or Business Services teams during the summer months (between June and August) and last between one and four weeks.

Conyers summer law programme is their most important source for recruitment. They hire students with strong academic records and a dedication to performing exceptional work. The programme is designed to give Caymanian law students an insight into what its like to be a Conyers lawyer. From day one, students will be paired with a lawyer who will act as a mentor. They want you to be involved in actual client projects, such as legal research, due diligence and the preparation of legal documents, as well as participate in a variety of learning workshops.

EY offers summer internships across the following areas of the business: Tax, Consultancy and Audit. Their internships offer real insights into EY and are ideal for students in their penultimate year of university. Summer interns with EY will be able to see their impact first-hand. They will work on client projects with their team, gain new skills that will shape the rest of their careers and explore their interests supported by leaders. All of this will help EY interns build their future career.

Alongside its law internships, Walkers also offers internships and work placements within the business support functions of their firm. An unpaid work experience programme is also offered to secondary school students.

The Maples Group Internship Programme aims to provide meaningful work experience through a holistic learning environment. Placements are available in legal services and financial services. The Summer Internship Programme at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman invites young Caymanian students into the world of hospitality, inspiring the industry leaders of the future. The students can explore their preferred areas of interest in different departments at the resort, that vary from front office, culinary to water sports, among others. Students may select up to two departments or areas of focus. These may include operational departments such as Rooms, Recreation, Food & Beverage and Culinary. Curriculum includes a mentorship programme, lunch and learns with resort executives and training sessions.

The National Gallery is committed to providing opportunities for young Caymanians to develop their skills and knowledge in pursuit of a creative career. They offer various work experience placements throughout the year, plus summer internships and an annual year-long internship. All placements allow successful candidates to gain hands-on experience with all aspects of gallery management, including curating, marketing, education and events.

Internships at the Central Caribbean Marine Institute (CCMI) provide an exciting opportunity for early career scientists and educators to gain real-life experiences with research, marine education, communications, and field station operations. CCMI maintains active field research and education programmes in the Cayman Islands at their Little Cayman Research Centre (LCRC), supported by a team of scientists, educators, outreach and communications coordinators.
