Handwriting Club Camp
Brief: Cayman Theraplay are once again offering their fun summer camp focusing on handwriting, open to children aged 4-9 years old.

Your child will develop their writing skills by engaging in a range of summer-themed visual motor, fine motor, gross motor and sensory based activities. Our handwriting camp is facilitated by our licensed occupational therapist.

Stage 1 - Age 4-6

Dates:
One or more weeks can be selected to attend. Camp is on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Dates in July (3pm - 4:30pm): June 30th-July 4th, July 9th - July 11th (note, only 2 days), July 21st - July 25th, July 28th - 1st August.

Literacy Club Camp
Brief: Cayman Theraplay are once again offering their fun summer camp focusing on literacy, open to children aged 4-9 years old.

Brief: In this 3-week program, your child will be inspired to explore a love for reading, spelling, and writing. Come join in on the fun with engaging, play-based literacy activities designed to lay the foundations for success in literacy!

• Identification of speech sounds and syllables
• Recognizing and creating rhymes and alliteration
• Identification of letters and early phonics
• Retelling stories and story comprehension
• Strengthening auditory memory

Keyboarding Club Camp (8-11 years)
Brief: Cayman Theraplay are once again offering keyboarding club, focused on touch typing development over the Summer break for your children ages 8-11 years. Our Keyboarding club is facilitated by our licensed occupational therapist.

Preschool Readiness Camp - Age 2-3
Approaching the milestone of sending your little one to school for the first time can feel daunting, and our Preschool Readiness program is here to make that transition as smooth as possible. This program has been designed by our occupational therapists and speech-language therapists to support both you and your little learner.

Research has proven the power of play and repetition to foster learning, which is why our program revolves around meaningful themes that change monthly. In July, we're exploring day and night; and in August, we'll be discovering the animal kingdom. Each monthly theme will focus on a shape, a color, and an educational concept (like on and off, and up and down); while utilizing beloved books and songs, and simple sign language.

Our program is carefully crafted to target fundamental skills essential for preschool readiness. Through a blend of interactive play-based activities, we focus on:

• Smooth transitioning away from caregivers
• Engaging circle time sessions
• Developing both gross and fine motor skills
• Stimulating sensory activities
• Enjoying snack time together
• Mastering management of school essentials like backpacks and lunch boxes

Alongside our sessions, you'll receive weekly handouts packed with tips and tricks to reinforce the skills we're working on. Plus, we're offering complimentary 15-minute feedback sessions to ensure you feel supported every step of the way.

With a therapist-to-child ratio of 1:4, we aim to provide attention and care for your little one throughout the program. So, take the leap with us and give your child a head start!

Parent, Play, Eat - Toddler Food Explorers! (Ages 18mo-3yrs)

Brief: The Parent, Play, Eat! (PPE) camp is facilitated by our licensed therapists and is kept small to ensure you and your little one gets personalised attention. This means that we can accommodate to your child's personal needs and provide individualised suggestions for success at home.

This 6 session program will be targeting fundamental food exploration skills to support the development of a palate that is varied in food, flavour and texture. The aim of the program is to:

• experience sensory strategies that support calming the nervous system to prepare for mealtime
• encourage your child to develop a positive relationship with a variety of foods
• provide caregivers with the knowledge of varied feeding approaches
• empower caregivers to setup mealtime routines for success
• provide caregivers with the knowledge of what factors can influence picky eating

A caregiver is required to be present with the child for all sessions. First session is a caregiver only session to review feeding framework and expectations of the group. Handouts and resources will be provided to be able to refer back to. Food will be provided for sessions 2-6 however it will be required to provide some food safe options for your child as well (foods your child is guaranteed to eat). Our PPE program runs periodically throughout the year and is covered by some insurances. Maximum 3 families per group.

Back to School Club Camp - Age 5-8

In this 5 day intensive, your child will get their body ready for going back to school after the summer holidays! With fun school themed activities, we will be targeting fine motor, visual motor and executive functioning skills including attention, listening and following instructions as well as games to facilitate social skills. Skills addressed:

• fine motor skills for pencil grasp

• attention and focus
• listening and following instructions
• social skills

Dates: August 25th - August 29th Monday - Friday
Time: 8:45-10:15am
