Universal Children's Day 5K Run/Walk

The Department of Children and Family Services(DCFS) will be hosting its 3rd Family 5K Run/Walk on Sunday 29 January 2023 to recognize Universal Children’s Day which takes place on 20 November every year.

The goal is to improve child welfare worldwide, promote and celebrate children’s rights and to promote togetherness and awareness amongst all children. This year all raised funds will be donated to support emergency placements of children who are the victims of some form of child abuse. This will allow the Department to offer service users care packages such as food and clothing certificates.

The theme for this year is “A Better Future for Every Child” – indeed our children are the future, and we want to promote environments and a culture that allows them to pursue their dreams and succeed.

• Children under the age of 5 y.o. – FREE
