SNAP - Helping Girls with Behavioural Problems

By: The Family Resource Centre
  • Date: Thu 16 May, 2024
  • Time: From 5.30pm
  • Repeats: Every Thursday

DCS is offering a SNAP Girls Group starting April 11th, with the registration deadline being March 1st.

SNAP® stands for STOP NOW AND PLAN. It is a proven model that teaches children struggling with behavioural problems and their parents how to make better choices “in the moment”. SNAP® helps children and their parents learn how to effectively manage their emotions and “keep problems small”. SNAP® is a gender-specific group. Girls between the ages of 6-11 years experiencing behavioural problems at home, school, with persons in authority, and in the community may be appropriate for the program.

The next course is from April 11th – June 27th at 5:30pm and families are invited with girls presenting with behavioural concerns between 6-11 years to apply.

In this programme parents will:
😍 Learn effective child management and SNAP® strategies.
😊 Form connections with other parents facing similar challenges

In this programme, children will:
😍Learn to use SNAP® in different situations.
😊 Learn to make better choices in the moment
