Parenting & Family Programmes

Presented by the Cayman Islands Government

Award-winning, internationally recognised parenting and family programmes — all free of charge to families raising children in the Cayman Islands.

These research and evidence-based services are designed to support parents through common challenges and help every family thrive. Parents consistently report powerful positive changes in themselves and their children after completing these programmes.

Pathways

For parents needing help managing emotions
Date: August 12
An intensive intervention programme for parents who struggle with emotional regulation. Learn practical strategies to stay calm, respond effectively, and act from a place of control during challenging moments.

SNAP (Stop Now And Plan)

For families with children aged 6–11 with behavioural challenges
Date: September 1
This session teaches parents and children how to better manage behaviour at home and school. Focused on emotional regulation and problem-solving, SNAP offers tools for handling real-life challenges.

Family Transitions

For families experiencing separation or divorce
Date: September 3
A programme designed to support families through separation, divorce, or unresolved conflict. Learn how to reduce stress, communicate effectively, and create a more stable home environment for your children.

Understanding ADHD

For parents exploring or managing an ADHD diagnosis
Date: September 9
Ideal for parents who suspect their child may have ADHD, are awaiting assessment, or already have a diagnosis. Learn more about ADHD and gain strategies to support your child through positive, informed parenting.

Parenting Teens & APF’s Team Talk

In partnership with the Alex Panton Foundation
Date: September 11
This programme supports parents of teenagers who are concerned about behavioural changes or want to prevent future challenges. While parents attend a tailored session, teens participate in the Alex Panton Foundation’s Team Talk — a safe space to share, learn, and grow.
