In 2018, Dr. Joan Harriott saw the need to provide expert medical care for the rapidly growing Savannah environs and opened her own clinic, Global Medical Center & Laboratory. She has partnered with Dr. Alice Blavo, a Paediatrician, to provide outstanding, easily accessible, and affordable expert health care, for the entire family. Her office is conveniently located at the hub of the Eastern Districts, the Countryside Shopping Village.

Dr. Joan Harriott specialized in Internal Medicine at the prestigious Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeon, New York, USA and is a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine. She pursued her medical school training at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, Jamaica and graduated with a MB;BS Degree. Dr. Harriott served as an Internal Medical Specialist at Trincay Medical Center and Urgent Care, Camana Bay, Grand Cayman for four years. During that time, she provided outpatient Adult Medical Specialist Care and coverage for General Practice and Urgent Care. She also admitted and managed adults with complex medical problems in the ICU and Medical Wards at the HSA Hospital, Grand Cayman.
