About

Dr. Peter Sipos is a highly trained Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who completed his specialist and academic training in Manchester, UK. He is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in London and holds a PhD in feto-maternal medicine from the University of Manchester. Dr. Sipos received additional training in benign gynaecology and fetal medicine at the University of Sheffield, and completed advanced subspecialty training in gynaecological oncology at the Northern Gynaecological Oncology Centre in Newcastle and at Central Manchester Hospital. His research on vessel-forming stem cells in placental disorders and ovarian cancer has been widely published and recognised with multiple prestigious awards. His academic journey also included time as a visiting researcher at the University of Cambridge and the University of Alberta.

Dr. Sipos cares for women throughout all stages of life, offering support in both low- and high-risk pregnancies, and performing vaginal and Caesarean deliveries. He is passionate about helping women make informed choices, providing personalised treatment for early pregnancy concerns (such as bleeding, nausea, or ectopic pregnancy), menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, fertility issues, perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms, sexual health concerns, prolapse, urinary symptoms, and cancer screening or management of reproductive organs and breast health. Whenever possible, he performs surgical procedures using minimally invasive approaches, either through the vagina or with small incisions in the abdomen, to ensure less pain and quicker recovery.

Dr. Sipos has served the Caymanian community since 2019, previously as the Clinical Lead of OBGYN at the Anthony S. Eden Hospital (formerly George Town Hospital.) Earlier in his career, Dr. Sipos spent three and a half years as a missionary doctor at the Onandjokwe Lutheran Hospital in Namibia, where he played a vital role in developing and implementing antiretroviral treatment programs for pregnant women.

Fluent in multiple languages, Dr. Sipos is dedicated to creating a welcoming and respectful environment for every patient he sees.
