Dr. Ryan Punambolam, is a Canadian-trained neurologist and neurophysiologist who brings more than 15 years of consultant-level experience to Doctors Hospital Cayman. He completed medical training at Western University, followed by fellowships at the University of British Columbia and advanced post-graduate training at UCLA and Harvard Medical School’s Neuromodulation Unit. He also holds a graduate degree in Dementia. A recognised clinician, leader, and educator, Dr. Punambolam is committed to compassionate, patient-centred neurology. As a former Medical Director of a regional stroke centre, he led major quality improvements, including a 375% increase in acute stroke treatment rates. His expertise includes stroke, migraine, concussion, dementia, epilepsy, and movement disorders.
