The GOW School is a coed college-prep boarding and day school for students, grades 5-Post Graduate, with dyslexia and similar language-based learning differences in New York.
By integrating their language remediation program, Reconstructive Language, throughout the curriculum and coupling it with a wealth of support – from assistive technology to caring faculty – Gow provides not just another opportunity to try again but a real opportunity to succeed. Gow provides an academic, social and emotional fresh start.
Facilities: Gow's 125-acre wooded campus features 4 student dormitories, 6 state-of-the-art academic centers, and ample space for activities and athletic pursuits. The Reid Arts Center houses a theater, technology labs, art studios, music lab and TV studio. The Gow Center, equipped with basketball courts, tennis courts, large multipurpose room, squash courts, fitness center and student lounge. Their 10,000 sq. ft. dining hall was completed in 2009. Their newly renovated science and technology center is home to their robotics lab which includes a Computer Numerical Control machine and a 3D printer.
Curriculum: The academic program is accredited by
NYSAIS. They are IMSLEC accredited and they meet the International
Dyslexia Association (IDA)'s Knowledge and Practice Standards for
Teachers of Reading. They use a multi-sensory approach to teaching
across all disciplines and offer Executive Function skills to students
who need it.
Extra-Curricular Activities: The Gow requires
students to play a sport or be involved in an afternoon activity each
semester. Gow offers soccer, golf, tennis, squash, crew, wrestling,
basketball, skiing, lacrosse and much more each year.
Summer Programme: June 28th – August 1th, 2026
The five-week program is designed for students ages 8–16 who have the potential to excel but struggle in school or have been diagnosed with learning differences including dyslexia, central auditory processing disorder (CAPD), dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and ADHD.
“Summer school” doesn’t begin to cover Gow’s exciting and challenging summer program. The Gow School a leader in language remediation, the summer program helps participants improve academic performance by teaching strategies and material, enhancing confidence, and fostering creativity. GSSP also provides plenty of opportunities for enrichment, recreation, new experiences, and fun.

Boarding Students 2025-2026 (US Students)
Fees are listed in USD. This includes instruction, room and board, transportation for regular school activities, and technology fees. Tuition for day students is $62,900. Day students may participate in all school activities but do not have a dorm room. In addition, the school assesses a US$2,500 bookstore deposit (US$1,250 for day students), from which many extra student expenses will be deducted. These may include transportation from/to the school before/after vacations, books, academic supplies, athletic equipment, and other personal items. Any remaining bookstore funds will be refunded at the end of the school year.
