About the Scholarship

Peter A. Tomkins, widely recognised as the Founding Father of the Cayman National Group, brought his vision to life in 1974 with the establishment of Cayman National Bank & Trust Co. Ltd. His leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, and deep commitment to the Cayman Islands laid the foundation for an institution that has continued to grow while making a meaningful and lasting contribution to both its customers and the wider community. Established in his honour, the Peter A. Tomkins Scholarship continues this legacy by investing up to CI$25,000 annually for a maximum of four years towards an overseas institution, college or university programme. The scholarship reflects a commitment to developing talented individuals who will contribute to the future economic and social success of the Cayman Islands.

Educational Requirement

  • Applicants must achieve at least five higher-level passes (CXC, GCSE, or GCE).
  • Applicants must be enrolled or accepted in a Bachelor or Master's degree programme in a field relevant to the business conducted at Cayman National.
  • Applicants must hold and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, or the equivalent Upper Second-Class Honours (2:1).

  • Applicants must provide proof of Caymanian status.
