About
The Royal Life Saving Society, Cayman Islands (RLSS CI) is inviting interested youths and adults to join them this summer in July and August.Learn lifesaving skills and get certified, you can train to become:
- Lifesavers.
- First Aiders.
- Swim Instructors (internationally certified).
- Lifesaving Sport Coaches (internationally certified).
- Lifeguards (internationally certified).
- Lifesaving Instructors (internationally certified).
- Humanitarians (internationally needed).
The Royal Life Saving Society, Cayman Islands is a registered non-profit organisation. Its mandate is drowning prevention and reducing water-related injuries. The organisation is recognised by and affiliated with the Royal Life Saving Society Commonwealth, the Royal Life Saving Society Canada (BC and Yukon Branch) and the Caribbean Lifesaving Associations.

Summer Camp
Summer Holiday Camp Details
Each camp will run Monday to Friday.
Ages 7-12 need to be able to swim 50m comfortably.
Junior Lifeguard Club (ages 7-12) - Learn lifesaving skills, first aid and lifesaving sport from the Canadian Swim Patrol Lifesaving Programme, 9am-12pm at Governors Beach.
Bronze Camp (ages 12-14+) - Consists of the Bronze Star (12+), Bronze Medallion
(13+) and Bronze Cross (14+), 12.30pm-4.30pm at
Governors Beach.
Bronze Course (for adults) - Involves first aid
training and certification. The RLSS offers adult classes of the
certifications that can operate around work hours, evenings, and
weekends. The Standard First Aid award is a 16-hour course (required for
employment in Canada.)
The RLSS CI Executive Director Craig Amundsen teaches all the programmes.
- Dates: Every Monday from July 4th-mid August (depending on demand)
- Hours: 9am-4.30pm (depending on camp)
Junior Lifeguard Club (15-hour programme) - CI$150
Bronze Camp (20-hour programme) - CI$200
Price depends on age and camp.
