Beach Clean Up, Plastic Free Cayman
- Date: Sun 23 Aug, 2026
- Time: From 5pm
Plastic Free Cayman is hosting its second sunset cleanup of 2026 at Beach Bay, a popular turtle nesting beach. The group is collaborating with the Department of Environment, with a DoE representative on site to answer questions about hatchlings, turtle nesting and how cleanup efforts can help improve turtles’ chances of survival.
Volunteers will tackle larger plastic debris as well as small microplastics hiding in the sand, helping to leave this important stretch of coastline cleaner. Plastic Free Cayman shirts will also be available for CI$25, with proceeds supporting the organisation’s operations.
