About

The Cayman Islands Government operates the free Early Intervention Programme for both Caymanian and expatriate children from birth to age 5 who might experience various developmental delays.

Treatment is provided by highly trained and qualified professionals and it is a fantastic service that is free to all. Children referred to the programme will be assessed and then a decision is made based on the Cayman Islands Special Needs Code of Practice, on whether the child is eligible for services form the Early Intervention Programme. The EIP staff will meet with the family and discuss the results.

They offer the following services:

  • Developmental/ Educational Services
  • Speech and Language Therapy
  • Vision Therapy
  • Hearing Therapy
  • Educational Psychology Counselling
  • Information on referrals to other agencies can also be provided.
