Montverde Academy

At Montverde Academy (MVA), their mission is to inspire students to become leaders with a passion for knowledge, global vision and innovation while developing character in a nurturing and diverse community.

Founded in 1912, Montverde Academy is a college preparatory, coeducational boarding and day school serving grades Pre-K3-12. The boarding program serves boys and girls in grades 7-12.

When you become a student at MVA, you become a part of a community of unique, diverse people whose character plays a vital role in the Academy experience. Students are motivated to succeed through challenging academics, taught by an engaging, experienced staff who educate students to make positive change through critical thinking, global perspective, and community involvement.

Academics are the foundation at Montverde Academy. MVA’s Upper School experience focuses on a comprehensive college-preparatory curriculum. Their distinct program emphasizes small class sizes, advisories, guidance counselors, and a department solely focused on finding resources and the best university/college for our graduates starting in grade 9.

Their seniors have a 100 percent acceptance rate and are accepted into top-ranked schools including Cornell University, Duke University, Georgetown University, Rice University, University of Chicago, University of Florida, and Wake Forest University. Montverde Academy’s Class of 2024 had 40 Distinguished Scholars, and earned more than $24 million dollars in academic scholarships.

Located in Central Florida, Montverde Academy’s beautiful 130-acre campus offers students the complete college preparatory experience with a diverse student life. The Academy hosts annual events and traditions that celebrate our student body background, including Lunar New Year, Diversity Fest, Prom, Homecoming, Holiday Fest and more. A variety of off-campus trips are offered to their boarding students and include visits to theme parks, waterparks, high-end shopping, and performing arts venues.
