Description

KPMG offers scholarships to qualified Caymanian students who have shown academic excellence and wish to complete an undergraduate degree, locally or overseas. Students should possess an interest in pursuing a career in accounting, finance, tax, accounting information systems, actuarial science or sustainable finance in the Cayman Islands.

Local scholarship program
Value and duration

KPMG in the Cayman Islands will provide financial assistance, per standard tuition costs, to attend the University College of the Cayman Islands (“UCCI”) or the International College of the Cayman Islands (“ICCI”). Sponsorship will include student
fees, books and supplies as requisite. All payments are made directly to the college at the beginning of each term.

Qualifications
To apply, applicants:
• Must be Caymanian or hold Caymanian status.
• Should be between the ages of 16 - 25 and must have the necessary background to achieve success at a competitive university.
• Must have received notice of acceptance from UCCI or ICCI.
• Must possess a High School Diploma.
• Must have at least 5 IGCSE/GCSE/CXC passes with a grade C, 3, or higher. Four of those must be academic subjects (i.e. Mathematics, English, Science) and/or have a minimal 3.0/4.0 scale cumulative grade point average.
• Should provide their SAT results for math and critical reading scores of 950 minimal or ACT score of 20 (if applicable).

Overseas scholarship program
Value and duration

KPMG in the Cayman Islands will provide financial assistance of up to US$30,000 per year for the KPMG Annual Scholarship, in addition to an airfare stipend, for the maximum duration of five years. This is intended to be used towards standard tuition, textbooks, room and board as needed.

Qualifications
To apply, applicants:
• Must be Caymanian or hold Caymanian status.
• Should be at least 17 years of age and must have the necessary background to achieve success at a competitive university.
• Must have received notice of acceptance by an approved and fully accredited educational institution overseas.
• Must possess a High School Diploma and have at least 5 IGCSE/GCSE/CXC passes with a grade B, 2, or higher or equivalent passes in home country dictated by their governing Board of Education or Ministry and/or hold an Associate Degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher from a regionally accredited university or community college.
• Should provide their SAT results for math and critical reading scores of 950 minimal or ACT score of 20 (if applicable

Terms & Conditions

  • Applications for scholarships are considered on an annual basis.
  • Applicants will be required to attend an interview with the Scholarship Committee at KPMG.
