Description
Value and duration
The Michael Austin Scholarship offers up to US$50,000 per year, in addition to an airfare stipend for the maximum duration of five years. This is intended to be used towards standard tuition, textbooks, room and board as needed.
Qualifications
To apply, applicants:
- Must be Caymanian or hold Caymanian status.
- Must display strong academic achievements, a commitment to serving others in the community or at school, a robust work ethic and leadership qualities.
- Should be at least 17 years of age and must have the necessary background to achieve success at a competitive university.
- Must have received notice of acceptance by an approved and fully accredited educational institution overseas.
- Eight (8) IGCSE/GCSE/CXC passes and/or GPA of 3.50 or higher.
- Should provide their SAT results for math and critical reading scores of 1200 minimal or ACT score of 24 (if applicable).

- Passport Photo Page
- Certificate of Caymanian status and/or acknowledgment for the continuation of the right to be Caymanian
- Most recent high school and/or university transcript noting GPA, IGCSE/GCSE/CXC passes, SAT and/or ACT scores
- Acceptance/Conditional offer letter into an accredited university for a KPMG supported degree
- Total cost of university attendance (tuition, room and board fees, insurance, etc.)
- CV/Resume
- Essay on, “Why I chose to pursue an accounting degree” (300-400 words)
- Two letters of recommendation (i.e. academic or work experience)
