About
Footsteps School is a warm and welcoming school, following the English National Curriculum for children aged 4-13 (Reception to Year 8) . A non-denominational school, Footsteps opened its doors in 2019 and since then, has continued to offer an ‘excellent’ curriculum, as graded by OES in their previous 2 school inspections.
“The curriculum experiences offered to students were excellent. There was an extensive range of subjects taught and the beach and forest days gave students unique opportunities to learn."
Footsteps school is warm, vibrant and ambitious. With great rigour and a highly qualified teaching staff, Footsteps continues to be a strong and innovative educational project. Their passionate and experienced teachers use a variety of hands-on teaching and learning styles, ensuring that students can really engage with their learning. As Cayman's first and only accredited beach school on island, Footsteps integrates outdoor learning into their curriculum, taking advantage of Cayman’s natural beauty and landscape whilst encouraging exploration, investigation and independence.
Footsteps boasts small class sizes and a high staff to student ratio. They aim to individualise learning as far as possible, offering regular extension and depth-of-learning opportunities as well as specialist learning support where required. Students leave Footsteps as confident, independent learners, equipped to progress.
Footsteps is a school that continues to grow and has some significant expansion and development plans in place.
After school tutoring is available, along with after school care and holiday camps. For more information on admissions, please email admissions@footsteps.ky
